Oprah: "Did you ever take a banned substance to improve your cycling performance?"
Armstrong: "Yes"
"Is that one of the substances EPO?"
: "Yes"
"Are you taking other illegal substances?"

In the next part of the interview, Winfrey asked, "Did you feel it was a mistake?
Armstrong replied, "Not. Terrible. "
"Do you feel guilty?"
"Not. More terrible. "
"Do you think you cheat?"
"Not. Most horrible. "
Armstrong continued, "The definition of cheating is taking advantage of an opponent or enemy. I do not see it like that. I see it as an arena to compete. I do not understand the magnitude of the problem. The important thing is that I started to understand it.
"I saw the anger on the people themselves, betrayal. Everything was there. People who believe and support me and they are entitled to feel betrayed and that was my mistake and I will spend the rest of my life trying to get back their confidence and apologize to them. "
