Mozilla Launches Firefox OS Simulator

The development of Firefox OS (aka Boot to Gecko), a mobile OS from Mozilla devoted to content HTML5, CSS and Java Script, seems to have moved to a new stage. Even when it's already possible to install the OS on a variety of mobile Firefox, Firefox OS team today officially launched the latest results of their project: Firefox OS simulator.

Simulator are still categorized as' eskperimental is essentially an add-on for the Firefox browser, and can be run via Windows, Mac and Linux (with notes there are still a number of issues for use on Linux and Windows XP).

Once the add-on is installed, the simulator will immediately update the latest snapshot of the various projects Boot to Gecko (B2G) automatically. It is intended for developers who want to develop applications for Firefox OS to not worry that they will miss the information and work on applications for outdated versions.

Tim Firefox OS in a statement said that 'Firefox OS Simulator is the easiest way to try an app Firefox OS and test the zoom before the developers submit it to the Marketplace,' alias app store platform to facilitate the application of Mozilla Firefox OS.

Mozilla also noted that the simulator is not similar to any other simulator, because it creates a virtual computer. Instead, the add-on will bring the desktop version of Firefox OS via browser. Mozilla has launched a B2G mobile simulator in October, but the project is considered as an experimental prototype that is still very raw.

Mozilla hopes to release the first version (1.0) of the simulator is in the near future (today the release version is 0.7). The main purpose of this task is to facilitate the use of B2G and install the application that is being done by the developers.
