MOSCOW-Venezuelan presidential election delay as a substitute late President Hugo Chavez until 14 April 2013, the National Electoral Council said after an extraordinary meeting on Saturday (03/09/2013) local time.

Chavez himself has pointed Maduro as his successor when he underwent cancer surgery last in December 2012.
Chavez died late Tuesday at the age of 58 years after a battle with cancer that eats away at him over the last two years. He has led Venezuela for 14 years.
Venezuela's opposition accused Maduro appointment as interim president is false because unconstitutional.
They assume that the only people who deserve to take over the position of leader of Venezuela is the spokesperson for the House of Representatives. However, the Supreme Court endorsed the appointment Maduro Venezuela.
Maduro's inauguration ceremony was held a few hours on Friday (03/08/2013) local time after a state funeral Chavez finished.
Funeral was attended by more than 30 heads of state and government, including Cuban President Raul Castro, Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as well as the number one Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
Maduro is likely to come forward as a presidential candidate in the general election of exchange ruling party. He will compete with the opposition leader is currently the governor of Miranda state, Henrique Capriles.
According to the polls, while the Maduro is outperformed Capriles and many believe the leader will pitch Maduro of Venezuela.
Capriles himself had lost to the late Chavez in the presidential elections in October last year.
